We will Never die

From the band's MySpace page....
In case you haven’t heard, The Slants are an Asian synth-pop band that have been melting faces off all over the country. Since the creation of the band, The Slants have toured the country five times, received press for turning down a million dollar recording contract as well as being banned from a venue in Portland due to breathing fire, and were the first and only Asian band to be a Fender Music featured artist.
The Slants will be playing at Mississippi Studios on June 30. Click here for details.
This track is featured on a very cool compilation CD: Pop Tomorrow 2
Pop Tomorrow! is a podcast showcasing some of the amazing local talent in Portland. Its hosted by Angelo de Ieso and he put together a compilation CD of 23 of some of his faves. You can purchase one of those cds and support KZME radio!
Just click here to make it so.
Thanks to Angelo de Ieso, host of Pop Tomorrow!, and the bands who put together this fine compilation CD. Also, thanks to Daniel and Traci for all their research.

Collecting Rocks

From the band's web site:
We have a big show planned for June 19th at the Alberta St. Pub. What's the occasion? Well, we're raising some money to put the finishing touches on Volume XIII: "White Bed" - our 15th release in 15 years! The night will feature performances by our dearest friends who have all spent much time in our band while based out of Portland during the last 8 years. Alison Wesley (hear her on Volumes X, XI, and XII), John Vecchiarelli (Volumes X, XII) and Zach Boyle's own Gold Halo Photograph (Zach played on Vol. X) will join us. We think an all star Collecting Rocks jam will be in order too!
